Reflexology is a non-intrusive complementary health therapy, based on the theory that different points on the feet, hands, face or ears correspond with different areas of the body. Reflexologists work holistically with their clients aiming to promote a sense of wellness.

Well trained Reflexologists do not claim to cure, diagnose or prescribe. Reflexology is an individual treatment which is tailored to you as a whole person, taking into account both physical and non-physical factors that might be affecting your wellbeing. Some people find it works for them. The best way to find out is to try it!

The Theory is.........

that Reflexology helps the body to restore its balance naturally. Usually, after a treatment your tension may be reduced and you might feel relaxed. You might also notice yourself sleeping better and find your mood and sense of wellbeing improving. You may also find that other aspects improve too; however, this happens on an individual basis.

With ever increasing levels of stress in everyday life, it is important for people to take more responsibility for their own healthcare needs. Reflexology may be one of the ways to mitigate the stresses of modern life.

You will remain fully clothed, just removing your shoes and socks! You will be lying down or slightly elevated if more comfortable for you and covered in a blanket. Relaxing onto my warm treatment couch and enjoying your session. You may find some areas in your feet a little sensitive, but on the whole it is a very relaxing treatment.

Reflexology for Women's Health - this is a great treatment if you have any sort of imbalance in your hormones, feeling a little "out of sorts", need a bit of a kick start - working on your endocrine system, focussing on bringing your hormones and body into balance. This may help you feel more uplifted and energised - give it a go, see what you think! During your session there will be some holding techniques on certain points on your feet, encouraging you to be aware of what/if anything you are noticing within yourself. A totally holistic approach.

Reflexology for Menopause  - If you are heading into your perimenopausal/menopausal years or have arrived already and feel a little unbalanced and are experiencing a handful, a bucketful or even a tsunami of unwelcome symptoms, this may help your body become more balanced and your mind a little calmer to help deal with these daily events! There is a main routine with helpful additions of an anxiety routine, hormone balancing and also some lymphatic drainage to help with inflammation/puffiness!

A great little booklet can be emailed out after your session if you are interested in learning a little more about what you can do to help yourself through to the next phase of your life.
